Since then...
The weekend of the 30th - 1st was very exciting. Friday, the 30th, was my first surfing class!!! SO EXCITING!!!! SO much fun!! I saw sharks =) they were only leopard sharks, but it was still crazy to be pattling, looking down, getting ready to stand up, and you look down and see a shark... Needless to say, I fell on that one =)
On Saturday night, Courtney, Geralynn and I went to Geralynn's boss's birthday celebration at a theatre in San Juan. It was a nightlong drinks, show, and dinner. It was so amazing. It was all flamenco dancers and it was all in Spanish. It was amazing to see the Mexican culture and everything that came with it through the dancing, singing, food, company... It was an amazing experience I never could have had in Wisconsin. CRAZY story... At dinner, we sat next to a couple who we started talking to and I mentioned that I was from WI and this is how the conversation went... Man "Really? Wisconsin? We have a daughter who lives in Wisconsin." Me "Oh really? Where?" Man "Avalon... it's right by Janesville?" Me "Are you serious???? That is about 15 minutes from where I live in Beloit." Man then went on to say that someone he knows through his daughter... "Owns a bar in Beloit, downtown, right by an Italian restaurant..." Me " The BOP?" Man "Yeah! I know Bert!"

I guess the next week wasn't too busy =) I've just been spending time with Courtney and relaxing and figuring out life's tough problems together. We both have boyfriends back at home, which is nice so we can go through it all together, but it is still rough (I miss you Seth...) and I wish I could talk to him so much more than we get a chance to but we are both busy and that's tough to take sometimes too... But I appreciate any time I get to talk or text or see him on skype... I am also SO happy I got to actually talk to Becky recently!!! I miss her, and I miss my roomies, and my friends in EC. I love Monterey, I love this area, I love being able to run down to the beach in my workout class and watch the sun rise... but I miss EC and the people (And I'm CRAVING Mac and Cheese pizza... thanks for mentioning it Seth!!!). I don't miss Wisconsin too much (snow is not fun...) But I miss my family... I am so glad I got to spend so much time with Meghan this past semester and that is the same with Michelle. Oh I miss my kiddies!!! Sighhhh... I'm enjoying my time out here, though, of course =)
We have been taking excercise classes as well on our off time... Zumba seems to be a favorite... Yoga has been good and toning as well. I have a morning workout class on tuesdays and thursdays so Courtney gets up and works out as well. It makes it MUCH easier to wake up so early if I don't have to do it alone. I had surfing again on the 6th, it was much colder than the week before, but still great fun!!! I can't wait to take Seth and Michelle when they come out! That weekend was basically a movie weekend for us, we just hung out and relaxed, like always... =)
This past week, 9th - 15th, was VERY exciting and out of the ordinary! Monday through Wednesday was normal, but Thursday through Monday, I hopped on a plane and went to San Clemente to see Lindy!!! Courtney came with to go visit an Aunt so I didn't have to fly by myself either! I LOVE flying!!! It was so so so great to see a familiar face... We didn't get the chance to do much outside because it was rainy, but it was just nice to hang out with her and Josh and Juliet (her puppy). We also got to go to San Diego to a Piano Bar which was quite a time! It was different from any bar I have ever been to. It had 2 pianists and you requested the songs you wanted them to play. They knew EVERYTHING and were great entertainment as well. It was fun to go to =) There was also a guy who proposed on stage!!!! On Valentines Day! Kind of cheesy, but still very very cute =)
This week has been busy since I got back from Lindy's! I haven't gotten much sleep at all so I'm starting to get sick... NOT FUN! I have had a lot of homework due in the last couple days but all of that is over now and I have time to sit! I also get to sleep in tomorrow!!! Yeah!!! Also, tomorrow, Courtney and I are going on a bikeride to Monterey to the aquarium... We're making it a day trip, making some stops on the way to a beach, check out some whale watching places for when we have visitors, and just enjoying the nice weather we are supposed to have! Sunny and 60's! =) Much better than all the rain we have been getting lately. Tomorrow night we should be heading to the beach for a fire with some friends as well. I can't wait!!!
Well... That has gotten you all caught up =) I'll work on getting some pictures up tomorrow or Saturday. I know pictures are much more fun than my rambling! I hope this is a decent update =) I'll work on this whole updating thing... haha! Promise, though, pics will come soon! I love you all and miss you tons. I hope all is well in Wisconsin!
